WFG National Title Insurance Company Appoints Neil F. Narut VP, Regional Underwriting Counsel for Illinois and Indiana
press release, WFG National Title Insurance Company

WFG National Title Insurance Company, a Williston Financial Group (WFG) company and the fastest-growing title insurer in the U.S., has appointed Neil F. Narutto the newly created position of VP, Regional Underwriting Counsel for its Central Region.

Narut will provide underwriting support to title agents in Illinois and Indiana, which comprise the Central Region of WFG’s Midwest Division. He will partner with Kimberly O’Connor, VP and Central Region Underwriting Counsel for the Great Lakes Division, which encompasses Michigan, Minnesota and Wisconsin.

For over two decades Narut has provided valuable legal counsel on matters of residential and commercial real estate and land title insurance to participating attorneys, their clients, title agents and local and national financial institutions.

“I can’t be more delighted to have Neil as a part our team,” said Jacquie Brink, SVP and Great Lakes Division Regional Manager. “Having spent time in various roles in our industry, including as a title agent, he brings a unique perspective that enhances the client relationship that we feel is the key to this role. His fun and outgoing personality is a great fit, and I foresee that anyone who may not know him will immediately feel comfortable with his underwriting style.”

Narut, who was admitted to practice law in Illinois in 1997, most recently served as the Senior Underwriting Counsel for a large title agency in the Chicagoland area. While in private practice, he represented clients in residential and commercial real estate matters, and served as Managing Attorney of a multi-state default firm, providing counsel in title curative and REO transactions.

In 2013, he left private practice to underwrite for the Commercial Division of Chicago Title Insurance Company.

“Neil brings a wealth of title knowledge and industry experience to WFG,” said Stan Czaja, VP, Midwest Region. “He is a consummate professional who puts you at ease the moment that you speak with him and has that unique ability to develop immediate relationships with his agents and clients.”

Said Narut, “As an attorney in private practice for over 15 years, I always looked to partner with title companies who maintained not only the highest underwriting standards, but also provided the highest levels of service, namely unlimited availability and assistance to help me navigate complex title issues for my clients. For almost 10 years now, I’ve been driven to provide these same standards and services as a title professional.

“After getting to know WFG these last few years,” he added, “I’ve found this is the type of company I would partner with as an attorney and I’m very thrilled to now be a part of their team.”

Concluded Czaja, “With Neal’s addition, WFG will be able to continue to deliver the highest level of underwriting services that we strive to provide to our agents.”
