EnTitle Insurance Company, which is headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio, recently began offering title insurance policies to residents in South Carolina. The company's latest effort to reduce the cost consumers pay for title insurance, EnTitle Direct, promises to save consumers nearly 35 percent on its policies when compared to those offered by other title companies in the state.
The company, which has been underwriting title insurance for 30 years, developed its digital platform to educate and empower consumers about how they can monitor their home closings and save on their title insurance policies.
Rather than working with realtors and other members of the real estate closing, EnTitle Direct consumers work directly with their title agency. They can monitor their closing process on a daily basis using the site's control panel, which has a patent pending with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
Additionally, EnTitle Direct provides interactive tools such as the ability to upload and store closing documents, as well as download a HUD-1. Consumers also can use the site's control panel to communicate with other parties involved in the closing process and store important messages, utilize a transaction checklist, build a contact list, establish notes about their transaction and view a calendar.
