Electronic recording (e-recording) of land documents and records is now available to customers in Crawford County, Ark., through Simplifile, the nation’s largest e-recording service, giving customers a secure, online recording option.
Using Simplifile’s secure, web-based service, customers such as title companies, banks, attorneys, and lien filers, will have the ability to scan or upload and submit documents directly to the circuit clerk’s office and have them stamped, recorded, and returned in minutes.
"E-recording is the fastest, most convenient way to have documents recorded, and we are happy to be working with Crawford County, so they can offer this technology to their customers," said Paul Clifford, president of Simplifile.
Recording fees can be processed electronically through Simplifile’s secure service via Automated Clearing House or electronic funds transfer, eliminating check-writing expenses.
Fewer payment errors, stamps, and mailing expenses are also some of the benefits that come with e-recording.
With the addition of e-recording in Crawford County, there are now 16 counties in Arkansas that have adopted e-recording with Simplifile. Nationwide, more than 1,250 counties also e-record with Simplifile.
High-speed Internet access, a PC, and a scanner are the minimum requirements for customers to begin e-recording with Simplifile.
