CATIC is pleased to announce the appointment of Kenneth B. Popeleski as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, effective January 7, 2019. Ken will succeed Richard A. Lawrence, CPA, who will step down from the CATIC CFO position, but will retain his position as a CATIC Director, Senior Vice President, and Treasurer until his previously announced retirement date in May 2019.

Ken is an 18-year veteran in the financial services industry and has gained extensive finance, accounting, and corporate development experience through senior finance and management roles in both large international companies and start-ups. He most recently served as Senior Vice President and Group Head of Financial Planning & Analysis and Mergers & Acquisitions for James River Group Holdings, Ltd., a publicly traded specialty property and casualty insurer and reinsurer. Prior to that, he was CFO and co-owner in the establishment of a property and casualty managing general agency. Ken also served as head of finance for AIX Group Inc., and has held various roles in corporate development, mergers and acquisitions, and investor relations for Hanover Insurance Group, Inc. He began his career in equity research and financial services for Keefe, Bruyette & Woods, Inc., and Morgan Stanley. Ken holds a B.S. in Economics from Lehigh University and an M.B.A. from the University of Connecticut.
