Boise-based TitleOne acquires Sandpoint Title Insurance Inc.

TitleOne, a Boise-based title and settlement services provider, has acquired Sandpoint Title Insurance Inc.

“We saw a strategic opportunity to increase our footprint and become the leading title company in the region,” TitleOne President Jason Vickrey said in a statement. “We are excited about a collaboration of two teams with a rich history centered on culture and customer service.”

As part of the acquisition, Sandpoint Title will transition to the TitleOne brand and join the company’s national network of title and settlement service companies.

Sandpoint Title was founded in 1983 and has 14 employees. Sandpoint Title’s president, Tom Williams, will remain with the company in an advisory role, while his son, Lonnie, will remain vice president and team leader.

“This is a win for both organizations. We have a similar philosophy of treating our customers and employees with respect and integrity,” Tom Williams said. “We’re very excited and fortunate to join forces with TitleOne and look forward to adding TitleOne’s innovative technology, breadth of experience and knowledge to the services we provide to our clientele.”

Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

TitleOne, founded in 2000, has more than 225 employees.

The company is owned by Title Resource Group LLC, a title, settlement and vendor management services company that supports transactions for real estate companies, corporations and financial institutions. It operates in 48 states and provides closing services in all 50 states.
