Several years ago, I did a good bit of work (mostly doc retrievals) for a company in Georgia called Lindsey Title Search.  The owner was Marie Lindsey, aka Dawn.  To make a very long story short, I was just getting started as an Abstractor and let her get way, way, behind on payments (I'm embarrassed to say how much).  She always promised the check was in the mail.  Anyway, she skipped out on me as well as other creditors and just disappeared.  Amazingly, she has resurfaced as East Metro Title Agency. What's even more crazy, she has been sending me requests for, you guessed it, document retrievals. I didn't know who she was at first, but, after some research, know that this is the same "scammer" as before.  I could go on and on, but I mainly wanted to let all of you know to stay far, far, away from this company.  If any of you "legal minds" have any idea how I could go after her, I would appreciate the input.  I talked with an attorney, and he advised that it would probably be best if I chalked this up to experience since it would probably cost more to try to serve her than what she owes me, especially since she now operates under another name.  Also, I do not have a physical address on her, just a P.O. box.  What a hard way to learn a lesson!
