[-] Error or Lie? - Rebecca Cowart/MS (16 replies)

I was contacted a while back by a company to do some work in MS.  I asked what their pay schedule was, because I don't fool with the companies who pay every 90 days.  They initially said 90 days, at which time I informed them I could not work with them unless they agreed to pay on a 30 day basis.  Within two days I had an email back from the vendor manager who said that she had gotten permission to pay me on a 30 day schedule, and so I went forward with them and started completing their work.

I got a phone call yesterday from the vendor manager who said there had been an error in the accounting department and I would not be paid within 30 days after all.

This is so frustrating.  I am so tired of these companies thinking that 90 days is appropriate.  I guarantee you that none of them are waiting more than two weeks to get their paychecks.  I feel like they just plain lied in order to get the work done!
