In dealing with property on a very large and irregularly shaped lake (approx 4 square miles) there is a problem. The lake is close to its all-time low, leaving the County and homeowners along the shore confused as to where their lot lines extend.By definition, anyone owning littoral rights has legal access to the lake. But, historically, case law has looked at the deepest point on the lake as the "center of the lake" with homeowners lots along the lake all converging to that point. Obviously, that only works if your lake is perfectly round. Does anyone know of good case law for a better solution?
