I just had the most horrifying conversation with Registered Land in Mid-North.

My current owner 's "out of the book paper" certificate of title shows an undischarged, prior owner mortgage.  What's on the computer generated certificate DOES NOT MATCH.  The mortgage is not on the computer copy  & no-one knows why.

The same problem exists with the two prior certificates - the mortgage is there in the books; not there on the computer.   To add to the confusion, the computer shows a deed out of one of the prior owners; but it is for a different property (that they never owned) & in a different town.  Again, the paper copy is free of this error.

This is a disaster.  In Essex South & I believe Essex North there is a caveat on each website; warning the user that the only accurate Certificate of Titles are the book copies.  There is no such warning on the Mid North website.
