I was doing a search on a very common name in this county and they owned the property for over 40 years, so I had to wade through hundreds of entries in the index. Since it was a male, and I had the middle initial, I added that to the search and it got down to 10 entries. I thought that was great until I realized that there weren't any mortgages. I took out the middle initial and it went back to the hundreds again but I discovered that there were over 30 entries with my man, and the middle initial was there. Either that or the complete middle name. I would have missed a few mortgages if I hadn't looked.

Don't use a middle initial with this system.
