If we have a prior policy and a client wants a gap search (ex. upgrade to a full search) OR if a client just wants a "Gap Search" from a certain point back to a Full Value Deed, why do some field searchers get upset?

I understand, they completed a search up until a certain point and now need help, but why is it frowned upon?  Why wouldn't someone want to create a product for those instances?  Is there language we can add to the search to cover any liability?

 Any input is appreciated.  I've been to a few conferences this year and with the new AI features and market conditions, it seems like it could be a viable product to accept orders on with business and the market slowdown.  These were genuine questions coming from "potential clients" YES, the Old Republic and Fidelities of the world....
