Really just drives me nuts sometimes.
We call ourselves abstractors, land investigators, delvers of the deep, dark courthouses in search of the elusive land documents and YET,
we can't find out the name of a company that has posted looking for help on SOT.  We can't find a company's address or phone number.  We blame the company posting for incomplete information.  Ever think it might be a test to see who the smart ones really are?  The ones that can think outside the box, find the information that is needed.  My gosh people, think!!!

For example on the services forum the company did not list its name nor phone number and the e-mail address bounced and not sure if the fax went through.  Oh what to do, what to do!!!

Hark?!?!?  Am I not an abstractor, researcher, finder of the truth?!?!?!

Why yes I am!!!

I start with the www.whitepages.com to run a reverse phone number on the fax number.  Drats, only info I got was that it was a land line in Texas.  But wait.  There is another clue!  The e-mail address.  Not the one tied to the poster, but the one they listed.  xxxxx@nameoftitlecompany.com .  Why don't I put a www. in front of nameoftitlecompany.com?  SUCCESS a WEBSITE!!!

Call the number and get the correct fax number for the company and the poster.  NEW CLIENT.

But, wait there's more.  Run the company name through that states Secretary of State website and presto...more information.

One other thing that drives me nuts...when they say e-mail or fax your information, people post it as a reply, really can follow directions can't we.

I apologize to listing DC as the state, but, come on what other group of people have problems figuring things out, Congress???
