The Maryland General Assembly has passed and the Governor has signed into law a bill providing that a Condiominium or HOA's recorded contract lien will have priority over a senior foreclosed mortgage or deed of trust in an amount no greater than 4 months of regular assessments up to a maximum of $1200.00. The bill becomes effective October 1, 2011, and only applies to mortgages/Deeds of Trust recorded on or after October 1, 2011.
