The education committee at NALTEA.org has had several requests for educational materials for abstractors who wish to do oil, mineral and gas work. My knowledge of oil and gas is very limited outside of the midwest. Does anyone know of written materials or resources for those wanting to more about this topic. I understand that separate books are kept in some courthouses specifically for oil, gas and minerals. In the state/s you work in, are oil, gas, mineral rights maintained in specific or the general grantor-grantee books? Are they also kept by legal description in tract indices? Appreciate any assistance with reference to the state.
Regards,
Jeanine Johnson, NALTEA Ed committee.
