Can you guys give me some good advise?  I had a random title searcher contact me last week because she took on too much work and needed help.  I really felt for her and helped her out because she had 24 hours to complete them all and seemed like a nice lady who just needed help.   We did 15 of her searches (put some of our work aside that could wait) and completed them and sent them over.  We were having problems emailing them over for various reasons to her and apparently she did not recieve 1 of the searches.  She called me the next day when I was out searching and needed it immediatly.  I just couldnt get it to her as it was at my office and I was an hour away from my office.   I emailed her saying I was trying to get back to my office for her as she seemed frantic about it, but I kept getting emails from her about it.  I finally emailed her back and said it wasnt my fault she didnt get the email and I would send it as soon as I got back to the office.   After that email she sent a message telling me to cancel the order and that I would not get paid for any of the orders as I did not deliver everything as promised and called me unprofessional.  This upset me greatly and I told her so.  She is now writing negative information all over the internet about our company.  In fact she out right  threatened me in an email  to write bad things on this forum about my company!   I have worked real hard in keeping our business busy in this crazy economy, working 24/7.  I also try REAL hard not to get involved in the "title searcher" drama or rumour mill as it just doesnt help anyone.  Im trying to be nice about this whole thing, but seriously... who would EVER purposely want to hurt another searcher over a 15.00 doc retreival and then destroy them unjustifiably over the interent?  I did find out this morning that 2 searchers have gotten stiffed by her in the past and similiar situations occured.  I really dont care about the money at this point.  Its very sad, because this is whole reason that I typically dont help searchers I dont know and it really does hurt the industry in my opinioin.  Any suggestions on how I should handle this?  I really could use some advise from anyone who has been in a similiar situation as you all know what the interent can do to someone when negative information is written.   People automatically think whatever is written is true and what amazes me the most is that you can actually write anything about anyone and its out there for all to see!!  HELP!!! to post a reply: login - or - register
