Full Time - Tax Examiner – Bronx, New York - Field

Tax Examiner

Responsible for the completion of assigned data collection tasks for county tax and municipal searches.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Contact or travel to various municipalities to initiate and complete assigned tasks, including but not limited to review of documents, abstracting pertinent information, and recording of fees.

2. Researches municipal records and performs property report inspections.

3. Follow-up with municipalities on outstanding searches and notify management with status.

4. Maintain and submit log of checks submitted for municipal fees.

5. Notify management on any delays or changes from municipalities, deviation from assigned route and arrival and/or departure from assigned location as needed.

6. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

This position is located in Bronx, NY.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Required:

· High School Diploma or GED

· Valid Driver’s License

· Reliable transportation and proof of insurance

· Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Internet Explorer and Web navigation required. Must have basic knowledge of other Microsoft Suite applications

· Proficient in use of facsimile, scanners, copiers, computer equipment, and communication devices

Preferred:

· 1 year experience in customer service or administrative functions

o Proficient in Company order processing platform and all internal data applications

SKILLS/COMPETENCIES

Required:

· Ability to work both independently and contribute in every aspect to a team environment

· Solid verbal and written communication skills

· Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and tasks requiring detail, concentration and accuracy

· Strong analytical and problem solving skills
