Well, it's been a week since the 10th Anniversary NALTEA Conference in Columbus, Ohio. For those of you who missed it, it was one of the best real estate conferences I have been to. The speakers were all tremendous! You can read their bios by clicking here. Truly impressive.
The downside is that attendance was not so impressive. Nonetheless, I was excited to be around like-minded title people who care about our industry. And... I volunteered to be Vice President of NATLEA again. Wanda Steudel ran for a board position and is the President this year. Wanda and I worked together in the same capacities six or seven years ago (I'm guessing), and I am looking forward to working with her again. I'll let somebody else list all of the board and officer positions, because frankly, I've only been back a week and I'm still learning who's doing what.
But, I still believe that NALTEA is an important organization for the title abstractors and the title industry as a whole. It will be my goal for the next year to help the board redefine NALTEA and get other people as excited about the industry as I am.
Congratulations to NALTEA for its 10th Anniversary! If you think about it, this is a major milestone for an organization like NALTEA. Just a few years after it got started, we saw the worst real estate market in recent history. A lot of good people are no longer in the business, but NALTEA is still here to help those of us who are.
Best,
Robert A. Franco
