So...Ive been on SOT for several years.  I started as a paralegal who ran title for Attorneys and moved into a independent contractor status running title for Mortgage companies.  Then Tele-Com companies came in and later the Oil and Gas industry. The new and most current  need is ROW title for pipelines for the O&G title we ran last year.

We call ourselves Title Examiners, Abstractors, Landmen, etc., but we all do the same job in the same Court Houses.  Yes, we let the industries give us different names given the industry, but once again we do the same job.  We Run Title!!

Lisa Ramsey of Tx. recently ask us to start our our own site and I agree...here is why.

 On this site when a new person shows up, whether a newbie or just from a different industry, when they ask a question about a different aspect of this industry, they are immediately attacked.   I'm afraid to ask questions based on the questions Ive seen asked.  That's wrong if this is to be an "industry" website

The Mortgage Title industry is being outsourced to India, Tel-Com have the Towers they need, Oil & Gas prices have damned that abstractor market,  so its abstractor eat abstractor.

 What if we set a standard, helped each other, and all worked together across industries....difficult I will admit, but its the only option to insure we all have work in the future without being divided and sidelined.......
