JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for clearing title issues, balancing figures, preparing closing statements and attending closings on behalf of the seller. May be responsible for Fannie Mae loan closings. Acts as a liaison between various parties involved in the transaction to coordinate the closing of the property and insure that all conditions are met prior to closing. Responsible for marketing efforts.

 JOB DUTIES:  

1. Balance, close and disburse closing files in accordance with standard practices of the broker and lender as well as handle Fannie Mae loans for the company.

2. Coordinate closing dates and time with the Realtors, lenders, buyers and sellers and attorneys.

3. Insure that all title issues have been cleared prior to closing.

4. Attend closing, explain documents, notarize signatures and collect funds to complete the closing transaction.

5. Disburse funds out of the escrow account after the transaction is completed and all money has been receipted into the account.

6. Work with broker and lenders after closing to clear up any post-closing issues.

7. Cover for escrow closers who are ill or on vacation. Assist with “sit down” closings as time permits.

8. Market self and company to agents.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

1. At least two years’ experience as an escrow officer with an established company. Experience closing Fannie Mae loans desired.

2. Established following among the local real estate and lender community if the applicant is currently working in Omaha.

3. Familiarity with title and escrow Windows based software, preferably Soft Pro. Also, must have a working knowledge of basic computer systems including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

4. Superior communication and customer service skills.

5. Detail oriented with a sense of salesmanship in order to effectively market in the branch office.

6. Must be able to handle multiple tasks and maintain composure during extremely busy closing times, (ie: the end of the month).

7. Must be a Notary Public.
