Can I ask why SOT maintains listings of companies that have bad business info or are known to be out of business?

Just from a visual standpoint, it really looks bad when looking for vendors in your directory. Why is SOT continuing to list companies that we know are out of business or that have bad contact info that they haven't updated in years. It presents a feeling of how horrible our industry has gone over the past 10 years. Makes me sad every time I search the SOT directory.

As a paying subscriber; I am requesting that you purge the old stuff and remove companies that do not maintain accurate contact information and/or are listed as out of business.

I’m pretty sure that nobody would be upset if you got rid of those out of date listing from the directory.

Why would we want to see all that bad mojo?

For example, My very good friend Karen, who I worked with back in the 90’s – formerly owned Metro Area Abstracting out of Livonia, Michigan; she closed her business back in 2006 when she finished nursing school and entered the medical field. She has been out of the industry and out of business for 11 years, yet, her information is still showing on the Directory, WHY?
