But if the REMOTELY feels the same on the surface -- and is a LOT cheaper -- they're going to pick "remotely" every time.

In reference to the other string about off-shoring:  PLEASE don't do a 40 year search for a current owner fee.  If I or any of my abstractors has to go beyond 30 years, I put the order on hold and ask for a full search fee.  It's retrieving the DEEDS that is the hard part of an old search -- which is what I explain to the clients.  

I believe we need to push HARD for mega dollars on any commercial or complicated search.  If we don't get the easy work anymore, then let's get paid what we're worth on the tough stuff that India can't handle.  We need to be "specialists" (and expensive ones at that).
