I too recognize the pattern.  But technology is changing the pattern.  I think a lot of people don't realize, or just don't understand, how much technology is going to change the pattern.  Technology is taking jobs from people.  Sure there will be some jobs, but technology is reducing the work force. Instead of needing 200 employees, a business can get by with a handful of employees to make sure the "technology" runs glitch free. It's already happening, not just in our industry, but in many other industries as technology makes it possible to eliminate people to increase their profit.  I like technology just as much as the next person, but I realize it's power to change the pattern of everything.
