I had a mtg with National City Bank. It was sold to PNC just before the housing crisis. PNC scheduled a foreclosure auction and then cancelled it at the last minute. There was no notification on anything until the city issued citations for code violations. At that time, I called PNC and they couldn't find any record of the loan. A friend who worked there found documentation that the loan was written off. I kept trying to contact PNC and they could not find any record of any loan so that we could try to clear the deed. A supervisor finally found something that said they had assigned the loan to Fannie Mae. I tried contacting Fannie Mae several times. They call me, let it ring once and hang up and then send an email saying they tried to contact me and closed the case. Upon further digging by another employee who gained access to some locked up secret records, 112 pages of documents were accessed, stating that the deed had been transferred to Fannie Mae also. Fannie Mae has never recorded anything besides a lien on the property. The city has boarded up the house and we have no access to correct any of the violations. This has been a nightmare for 10 years and I am hoping to find someone who has experienced something similar and can direct me to somewhere to resolve.
