It looks like people that work with your company are content with the situation. I was told by people in the court house about your company taking all of their work, and I know that my work has dropped off dramatically this year. It has been my experience in the past that when I don't know for sure about something, I ask questions until I understand. Used to drive my teachers nuts. I know there are other companies out there doing the same thing, or close to the same thing. They are from different states. Apparently a lot of attorneys are thinking that it is a better way to go. I don't really get why they would prefer a complete stranger doing their work as apposed to someone who has been doing it for years and never missed anything yet... especially since I have E&O so they wouldn't be liable if I did miss something. The only thing I can figure is that they are getting the work for a lower price. That kind of stinks though. I think abstractors are the only people who are still charging the same fee they charged 10 years ago... but the attorneys have surely increased their fees to do the closings.
That's progress I guess ... for some people.
