There were discussions here about online training options several years ago.  My opinion has always been that online training is not a good idea and it might actually do more harm than good.  Real estate laws very greatly between states.  Learning something wrong can get you into trouble.

Your second option is a much better solution, in my opinion.  Learn from someone local.  I hope you find someone to assist with that.  We need more good title examiners.
