I was contacted by a local individual, not a company, who would like a search conducted back to their patent in 1855.  This is someone who is known to me and receiving payment will not be a problem.  They have a copy of the original patent but no evidence that it is on record.  The county where the property is located was not organized until 1869, I know upfront that travel to another county will be involved.  I'm not even sure how to begin to price a request like this and am curious as to how someone else would handle it.  Any thoughts?
