I'd like to see a course of study which would cover the unque aspects of searching mineral and oil/gas title interests.  Investment in the Marcellus Shale natural gas play in the upper Appalachian Basin has created a strong demand for experienced abstractors and examiners all over the northeastern US.  NALTEA could be instrumental in supplying the industry with the properly trained personnel it needs to complete its mission.  Perhaps the Education Committee could contact the American Association of Professional Landmen (AAPL) for guidance in this area.
