I do not refuse to do business with Delaware companies....again, this company in particular had several other factors that made my business partner and I wary. Also, this was not an American Company, although as stated in previous posts, I am not against conducting business with foreign companies (my #1 client is/was based in Europe).

As for the article, I simply posted it because I found it interesting and thought everyone else would too. Of course, then there is this, which is from the New York Times:

https://www.nytimes.com/2016/04/08/business/need-to-hide-some-income-you-dont-have-to-go-to-panama.html

Direct quote:

"“In Wyoming, Nevada and Delaware, it’s possible to create these shell corporations with virtually no questions asked,” said Matthew Gardner, executive director of the Institute on Taxation and Economic Policy, a nonprofit research organization in Washington."

It is not a principle of "do not do business with Delaware companies". It is principle of doing your proper research, being informed, aware of risk, and keeping informed of trends that could substantially harm your business. I myself could, in theory, start a company in Delaware: it does not necessarily mean I am a criminal or doing anything suspicious. By the way, does anyone want to start an Italian restaurant chain with me in Delaware? I make a MEAN Spicy Marinara...
