Probate court changed their rules on ordering storage probates stored across the street.
The old rule was that if the probate was ordered by 8.30 am; it would be retrieved and available by about noon.
The NEW RULE is that all storage probates must be ordered 24 hours in advance. No more early morning ordering, as I discovered to my sorrow on Monday.
There are no signs or postings about this change in Probate Court,- there is just one sign and it's in the Registry of Deeds, scotch taped to the closing room window. I won't comment on what I think of the placement of the sign
Everything remains the same with the East Brookfield storage probates - the usual turn time of 2 to 3 weeks hasn't changed.
