Does anyone know anything about Advanced Title & Settlements, LLC located in Manassas, VA? They do work in VA, MD, and DC. Do they actually pay for their work?

They canceled a major commercial search on city property in Montgomery County after the search was completed. We notified the company continuously on the difficulty of the search, large number of outs to be examined, and additional hours extending completion.  Not once did they tell us to stop the search. They were upset when they saw the invoice and then canceled. They stated that they would reassign the search. We did not send the search. The equivalent fee from an attorney would be between $4,000 to $5,000 for the search. Of course, the examiner still has to be paid.

They are a settlement company in Virginia and stated that their client (a federal government entity) would not increase their fee. I will notify the bar and underwriter.
