I often use a scanner bar and have the need, from time to time, to scan oversize documents or plats. I am looking for feedback on the best software application to use to stitch individual .jpegs together.

I had been using Photoshop. It crapped out on me and will not save the completed product into a useable extension. I've also tried PhotoPad Image Editor, but it does not give a consistent result and the processing software is extremely slow.

Any suggestions?
