TitleVest Announces New Chief Financial Officer and New Senior Underwriting Counsel
press release

Manhattan-based TitleVest, a leading provider of title insurance and related real estate services, announced the addition of two prominent professionals to its management team:  James Leslie as Chief Financial Officer and Glen Chernick as Senior Underwriting Counsel.

Leslie joins TitleVest after five years as an investment banker with The Blackstone Group L.P., a global investment and advisory firm, where he advised institutional clients on numerous multi-billion dollar transactions, offering guidance on financial planning and budgeting, cash flow forecasting, strategic and operational planning and capital structure considerations. Prior to Blackstone, Leslie was with the law firm Sullivan and Cromwell LLP. He earned a BA degree from Vassar College and an MBA from Columbia Business School.

Chernick joins TitleVest as Senior Underwriting Counsel.  Chernick honed his vast title underwriting experience during his ten years with Chicago Title Insurance Company.  Prior to that, Chernick was counsel for the City of New York's Division of Real Estate Services.  He has been published in the New York Law Journal and has lectured on title insurance for the New York State Bar Association's Continuing Legal Education Program.  He attended Boston University and earned a JD degree from St. John's University.

"We are fortunate to attract such high caliber talent in James and Glen," said Bill Baron, President of TitleVest.  "The intellectual capital they add will enhance our company and the level of service we are able to offer our clients."

Leslie and Chernick join TitleVest at a time of tremendous growth for the company.  Fueled by its legendary client service and proprietary technology, which includes a U.S. Patent and another Patent Pending, TitleVest was recognized by Inc. Magazine as one of the 5000 fastest growing companies in the nation for 2010.

"I look forward to guiding TitleVest toward continued, sustainable growth," said Leslie.  "I am excited to join such an accomplished, focused organization and look forward to contributing to the company's future success."

"I have long heard of TitleVest's legendary service and cutting-edge technology," added Chernick.  "I couldn't be happier to be associated with the most visionary company in the title business."
