Venango County, Penn., has started electronically recording documents through Simplifile, the nation’s largest electronic recording (e-recording) service provider, saving time and money for the county and its customers.

E-recording is a secure method of submitting, receiving, and processing documents such as land records for recording online, which are otherwise submitted by mail, runner, or courier service.

Title companies, banks, attorneys, lien filers, and others who submit documents such as land records to Venango County for recording will be able to do so electronically, avoiding mailing delays and postage expenses.

Once the documents are submitted through Simplifile, the county receives, reviews, stamps, records, and returns the documents back to the customer usually within minutes.
