Florida title agents and attorneys can now earn continuing education credits through Real Estate Law Series (RELS) via the free mobile learning app Moodle.
Compatible with both Apple and Android devices, students can use their cell phones or tablets to receive virtually the same experience they would on a desktop computer.
Developed by Moodle, the platform on which Real Estate Law Series was built, the app allows students to start and stop courses at any time, giving them the flexibility to work wherever and whenever they want.
“We live in an increasingly mobile world,” said RELS Education Coordinator Andrea Schultz. “We recognize the need for students to take their studies on the go, and we are pleased to be able to accommodate the busy lives of title agents.”
Videos can be streamed with or without WiFi, but 4G or better service is recommended for optimal audio and video quality. Videos can also be downloaded for offline viewing.
To get started, students must first register at www.realestatelawseries.com, obtain login credentials, and choose from five categories of CE and CLE accredited courses, as well as five categories of non-credited courses with topics ranging from sales and marketing to information technology.
Once a course has been selected and paid for, students can then download and use Moodle. Moodle will prompt users to enter the RELS web address (lms.realestatelawseries.com) and their unique RELS user credentials. Upon logging in, their selected courses will appear in the app.
“Optimizing our website for mobile devices just wasn’t enough,” said RELS Student Services Coordinator Rebecca Charette. “We needed something native to mobile devices, so naturally the app fit the bill.”
RELS has plans to enable course selection and payment via the Moodle app in the coming months.
