Appears to be in line with my previous response to the "slow times" post. Unfortunately many more layoffs are coming. Sure the work will come back eventually, but I still don't believe it will come back to us. Title and vendor management companies suffered all of 2022, and they are continually laying off folks to try and stop their losses. But it's not working. They're presently laying off more employees and realize they have to change title searching, in order to eliminate another expense.

Sadly, several fellow abstractors have closed their doors and moved on to other jobs because they've been trying to hang in there for a whole year, thinking it would come back. Wish I could be as optimistic as you, but I too have reached the end of my ability to hang in there. Much luck to those of you who can afford to keep hanging on, I do hope the orders come back to you!
