New Hanover is actually one of those counties where, to do the ENTIRE SEARCH you MUST BE THERE. Trust me.

Also, as discussed in other threads, new legislation in October of 2015 is pretty much killing or killed overseas title search (read: increased risk to the client). Your $5.00 Current Owner Remote Search from overseas just tacked on tens of thousands, if not hundreds of thousands, if not millions in civil liability.

Keep in mind, North Carolina is an attorney state, which all title search must be under the supervision, examination and certification of a North Carolina attorney. Based on my experiences with overseas companies, as soon as you mention the extra costs to facilitate attorney certifications they tend to freak out.
