Abstracters are not licensed in Colorado, either.  In fact, the vast majority of title companies perform all their searches internally, and there is really no market for abstracting here (in fact, even the companies that still have "abstract" in their names are really just title agencies using a throwback name.)

So, recirprocity is just for those licensed as title producers (and, in Colorado, you have to be licensed to sign or countersign a commitment or policy, quote premiums, and otherwise sell, solicit, or negotiate for the business of title insurance.)
