And how much of it was a section 8 violation of increased fees with no "core title work" being added, just kickback money? I hope this was listed on the HUD-1 so it is easily documented. How does one reconcile the "increased fees" that are realized by discounting the title fees? This only promotes the section 8 violation, doesn't it?
On another aspect of this company and many others, how many of us are asked when requested to perform a title search are asked about the "quality of our search OR the extent of how we do it"?
The only questions I get are "how much" and "how soon" nothing about quality- so the companies requesting these have no interest in anything but turn times and costs- and that is a true reflection on that company and how it does business-obviously no consumer protection interests involved!!!
Just company greed and apathy toward a quality product for their clients.
