The "algorithm" was precisely why we turned them away when we were approached by both Chesapeake and Finiti. As it was explained to us it failed to take into account complications that arise in the course of the search (e.g. split chains of title, problems with the legal description, holes in the chain of title, etc.) which may necessitate a longer completion time. No abstractor should have to jump through hoops like that in order to deliver a competent and complete search. It would be more reasonable to order the search from the abstractor at a time early enough to allow for complications.
