In Indiana as long as the county commissioners approve it & it is clearly posted they could do that here. The state doesn't mandate the hours of operation here. There is one county close to me (that I don't cover anymore) that is closed every Wednesday, it doesn't matter if there is another legal holiday in that week or not they are closed on Wednesday also. It has been that way for years in that county, not just recently. But I would say that what the counties could do varies from state to state.
