William: I am curious as to why your clerk's have only provided 24 years of information? Do the settlement/ title insurers only require that length of time for a title search? Over here on the "Right Coast" we have all of the land records available on line for us to search- so 20, 40, 60 &100 + year searches are performed with no problem- it just takes experience in the use of all the indexes and books to do it correctly- not something that would be taught quickly either. Our clerk's took the time and effort to do it right, in my opinion, we waited along time for them to get it all together and then it was worth while- so when they filmed the books, they did all of them- not just a portion- and all the indexes, then set the system up to work in the court house and eventually offered it to subscribers on line- it is the same system in the CH as we view on line- so I never have to go into the CH for anything and it is available 24/7 , when ever the phone call comes in-makes for extremely good gas mileage on my car anymore- I only have to get gas every other week or so.
