Yes, they stiffed me over one search.  Guy named Nathan Chandler called me and sweet talked me into going to a county beyond my furthest county.  I did it, four-hour round trip drive, spent $25 on copies, took nearly two hours to do the search...and they never paid my invoices, never returned emails or phone calls.  It has been two years now.  I thought they must have gone out of business by now.
