I do sympathize with your situation but I just do not believe that letting government run our healthcare system is the solution it should remain in the private sector. Also we have to  think about the future not just a "quick fix". You are right, the reason I am not covered at this time is because of cost. I was previously covered under my husband's insurance plan and yes I would like to have coverage but not under "socialized medicine". I believe there needs to be reform in the insurance industry so that health care is made more affordable for everyone whether they have insurance or are paying out of pocket. I wish you well and hope that you get your health concerns taken care of !
