Yes, I knew you would.  In fact, when I wrote "some may not think there is a difference," what I meant was "Scott may not think there is a difference." 

Liberalism taken to extremes is socialism.  But, I think there are many kind hearted liberals that do not deserve to get lumped into that category.  I think for the most part, both liberals and conservatives can find middle ground.  Unfortunately, we only hear from the extreme nuts on either side because they yell louder and more often. 

Glad you still consider me a conservative - on most fiscal issues I am.  Though, on a  few social issues I lean a little further to the left.  My basic philosophy is "if won't cost me money, knock yourself out."
