Hi Jack! It is so fun to seee another one of these threads for everyone to share holiday recipes! I can give you several easy appetizers -
package of hot dogs and Pillsbury Crescent rolls = pigs in a blanket
open the crescent rolls and instead of breaking them into triagles, keep them in the rectangle and cut in half so there are 2 pieces - wrap each piece around a hot dog, seam side down on baking sheet and bake at recommended temp until rolls look done - cut in bite size pieces and serve with ketchup and mustard in little dishes for dunking.
spinach dip in round bread -
1 small pkg frozen spinach - defrosted and all water squeezed out
1 container sour cream
1 can water chestnuts drained
1 pkg Hidden Valley Ranch dip (powder kind)
put all ingredients into food processor and chop until well blended - refirgerate overnight
cut whole in middle of round bread, like in a bowl for soup they serve in restaurants, and fill with spinach dip and cut the piece of bread you cut out for the bowl into bite size pieces and arrange around the outside of the bread
asparagus finger sandwiches -
1 package asparagus steamed until just soft - not mushy
1 loaf white sliced bread
1 container aloutte (or bousin) cheese
cut crusts off bread, spread cheese on each slice, wrapa around asparagus. Put on plate seam side down and garnish with paprika
Hope those help! Those are always favorites in my house!
Merry Christmas!
Anita
