Well, so for there have been 306 views of the initial post on this topic, and only 8 people have replied to the post.  Sounds to me like there are a lot of disinterested people out there, or at least a good many that don't want to comment.  Of course that is sort of the norm on SOT.  There are a small group of people who regularly post.  Most who read the post do not post themselves.  I can only hope that those who don't post, and are reading, are gaining something from what is posted. 
I have know Robert for quite a few years & I really don't think he was trying to insult anyone.  We all know that there are people doing searches out there that actually fall into the category that Robert is talking about.  I did not read anywhere in his post that stated that ALL abstractors are guilty.   I tend to agree with what he said.  I have spoken to many that haven't got a clue!!!!!!  It is frustrating to me also that more abstractors don't wish to educate themselves with regard to this industry.  But I tend to believe that there are more educated abstractors out there then there are in other areas of our industry.  Ever try to explain a title problem to a newbie at a VM company that is suppose to be checking your work.  ---That's Frustrating!!!!!!
