Patrick,
Thank you for the "quick answers" they are more than any of us have previously been exposed too. I will also mention that for the most part they are in line with what our thoughts were. I will say that the one area that should be more closely considered is the people that were involved with the exam being exempt in regard to certification when all others have to prove their knowledge. Working on a committee and developing questions and guidelines are one thing, passing an exam that expresses your knowledge and thought processes are quite another.
With that being said, there is always a beginning. So the people that have worked on this project should be given consideration. I do not think, nor do others think that it would be appropriate that they be excluded from the examination process entirely.
An example of this would be passing a state bar exam, which is acknowledged by that state. Everyone must take and pass the exam, as far as I am aware, there are no exceptions. It is regarded as the standard and a requirement of practicing law. While our exam is not remotely on that same level, anyone wanting certification should be held at the highest level, in order for it to be taken seriously by others in the industry. Which I might add is one of the things that NALTEA is trying to achieve.
Thank you again Patrick for the reply. It should be useful in helping others decide if the exam will be beneficial to them and their business profile.
