Absolutely right, Diane. The longer the abstractors continue to throw up their hands in disgust, and walk away from delinquent clients...the longer they will be victimized .  The legal system works if you use it. It would seem to me that if a client has run up a bill of $1,000 to $1,500 it is worth it to appear as a witness in the trial. These cases are incredibly easy to win. You do not necessarily need a written contract to succeed as someone above mentioned. There are numerous alternate theories of contract law that work.
