Congratulations on your efforts to improve the system, Gail. You are to be applauded for your efforts. I agree with your assessment of Connecticut's land records. I have received notification from one of the title insurance companies indicating the town clerks are free to stop making margin notations if they have a reliable internal computerized record keeping system. The increasing liability and diminishing returns are the prime reason why I de-emphasized abstracting in my practice, and re-focused on closings.
