Reminds me of a scene from the old TV series Barney Miller.  There's an exchange between Det. Dietrich and Det. Yemana (played by the late Jack Soo, an actor of Asian descent) that goes something like this:

Dietrich: Do you ever feel the urge to return to the culture of your native lands?

Yemana:  I was born in Omaha.

Dietrich:  That's funny, we have a city in Nebraska that sounds just like that!
